In 2012, he suffered 8 strokes leaving him paralyzed on the right side of his body with loss of all speech. It would be 3 years before he was
able to live his life independently and start painting again. In 2017, due to complications from diabetes, Marcus was the recipient of a successful living kidney transplant. After recovering from 8 Strokes and the Kidney Transplant, he released his newest project in 2022.

His father, a successful designer for Cartier and Tiffany & Co., opened Marcus' eyes to art at a young age. He attended the Mark Twain School for the Gifted and Talented, the High School for Art & Design, and then received a full scholarship to attend the NY Academy of Art. Highlights of his career include creative development for brands like Absolut Vodka, MTV Music Awards, Schweppes, Pepsi, and MAC. He was also a stage designer for Pamela Anderson's Magical Mystery Tour and developed various PETA campaigns.
